The dangers of simplistic delay models

چکیده
The identiication of sensitizable paths and the determination of path delays play key roles in many delay fault testing schemes. In this paper we examine a range of gate delay models with respect to their impact on identifying both sensitizable paths and maximum circuit delays in com-binational logic circuits. We provide recommendations on the \minimum acceptable" model for identifying critical paths, and a minimum acceptable model for determining maximum circuit delays. In particular, we recommend against the use of delay models which fail to distinguish between rise and fall delays. Such models, including the commonly-used \unit-delay" model, are shown to signiicantly misrepresent circuit delay behaviour, particularly with respect to critical paths and long false paths.

Using the Reaction Delay as the Driver Effects in the Development of Car-Following Models
Car-following models, as the most popular microscopic traffic flow modeling, is increasingly being used by transportation experts to evaluate new Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) applications. A number of factors including individual differences of age, gender, and risk-taking behavior, have been found to influence car-following behavior. This paper presents a novel idea to calculate ...
متن کاملNON-FRAGILE GUARANTEED COST CONTROL OF T-S FUZZY TIME-VARYING DELAY SYSTEMS WITH LOCAL BILINEAR MODELS
This paper focuses on the non-fragile guaranteed cost control problem for a class of T-S fuzzy time-varying delay systems with local bilinear models. The objective is to design a non-fragile guaranteed cost state feedback controller via the parallel distributed compensation (PDC) approach such that the closed-loop system is delay-dependent asymptotically stable and the closed-loop performance i...

Leadership and Leadership Development in Healthcare Settings – A Simplistic Solution to Complex Problems?
There is a trend in health systems around the world to place great emphasis on and faith in improving ‘leadership’. Leadership has been defined in many ways and the elitist implications of traditional notions of leadership sit uncomfortably with modern healthcare organisations. The concept of distributed leadership incorporates inclusivity, collectiveness and collaboration, with the result that...
متن کاملApplying Branching Processes to Delay-Tolerant Networks
Mobility models that have been used in the past to study delay tolerant networks (DTNs) have been either too complex to allow for deriving analytical expressions for performance measures, or have been too simplistic. In this paper we identify several classes of DTNs where the dynamics of the number of nodes that have a copy of some packet can be modelled as branching process with migration. Usi...
